FC Barcelona's Return to Spotify Camp Nou: What You Need to Know (2025)

Great news, FC Barcelona fans! The club has officially announced its return to Spotify Camp Nou for the upcoming match against Athletic Club! But that's not all – this announcement is packed with exciting updates about the stadium's progress and what it means for you, the fans. Let's dive in!

FC Barcelona has confirmed that the match against Athletic Club, originally scheduled for Saturday, November 22nd at 16:15, will be played at Spotify Camp Nou. This decision is a direct result of securing the initial occupancy license for Phase 1B of the stadium's renovation. This allows for an increased capacity of 45,401 spectators! This expansion includes the entire Lateral area, adding to the previously granted license for Phase 1A, which covers the Tribune and South Goal sections.

The club is also actively working on Phase 1C to ensure the North Goal area is ready, meeting all operational, security, and comfort standards for members and fans.

Tornem a casa! (We're going home!)

Regarding the UEFA Champions League, the club is collaborating with UEFA to potentially host the match against Eintracht Frankfurt at Spotify Camp Nou, as all necessary requirements are met. However, official confirmation is still pending.

What does this mean for you? The return to Spotify Camp Nou is made possible by the authorizations for Phases 1A and 1B, bringing significant improvements:

  • Capacity and Accessibility:
    • New authorized capacity of 45,401 attendees.
    • 129 designated positions for people with reduced mobility.
    • New comfort and adaptation spaces for the public.
  • Sports Infrastructure:
    • New players’ tunnel.
    • New dressing rooms for the first team and the visiting team.
  • Security and Evacuation:
    • Improvements in comfort and safety for the public: more entrances, more evacuation routes, and more handrails.
    • New sprinkler and automatic extinguishing system.
  • Technology and Operations:
    • Access systems with gates and integrated ticketing, compatible with event days and vehicular traffic associated with ongoing works.

With these enhancements and the occupancy licenses for Phases 1A and 1B in place, FC Barcelona is thrilled to compete once again in its home stadium and continue the comprehensive transformation project of the new Spotify Camp Nou.

But here's where it gets interesting: the 2025/26 Season Pass!

To make it easier for members to get tickets for the 2025/26 season, the club launched a single Pass last October. This pass is valid until the end of the season and has allowed access to both the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium and, now, Spotify Camp Nou.

2025/26 Season Pass Details:

  • Grants access to official matches of the men’s first football team at Spotify Camp Nou during the remainder of the 2025/26 season, starting from the match against Athletic Club on November 22, 2025. This includes EA Sports League, Copa del Rey, and UEFA Champions League matches.
  • Attendance Confirmation: Members with the 25/26 Season Pass must confirm their attendance for each match through the Members APP or the club's website up to 6 days before the match.
    • If attendance isn't confirmed, a seat won't be assigned, and access won't be granted.
  • Tickets will be delivered digitally via the Members APP or email (PDF) between 24 and 3 hours before the match.
  • Ticket Transfer: Pass holders can transfer their pass to another person (who isn't on another application form) via the Members APP, free of charge, after confirming attendance.

Important Note: Throughout the 2025/26 season, while renovations continue and stadium capacity is limited, the status of Spotify Camp Nou season ticket holders will remain suspended until full capacity matches are possible.

And this is the part most people miss:

The presale of tickets for members for the match against Athletic Club de Bilbao will be activated today at 16:00 h, while tomorrow at 16:00 h ticket sales will open to the general public. In addition, VIP ticket sales also open today for everyone.

What do you think about the changes? Are you excited about the return to Spotify Camp Nou? Do you have any questions about the 2025/26 Season Pass? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below! Let's discuss!
